Had a Hawk alarm on my triumph, the siren was a six tone one bit like the clifford car alarm, people dont tend to react to alarms going off unless its a different noise. Would consider a pager alarm, so when it detects movement you get a message telling you.
Due to getting a replacement iPhone yesterday I don't have any pics to show you just how big he is. Will see if Nicky has any when she gets home from work. He's a big softy really but his eyes flash red in the right light which does look a bit scary!
I have seen a picture of said little dog, and it aint little ! Nicky would need one hell of a handbag to have it like you see on TOWIE !
There ain't much to go wrong with this one......and even if a component failed, I made it so that I could change any one of them easily....and because they don't cost much and they don't interfere with the bike at all. AL.
If you are any good at soldering, it is so easy to do it yourself……however, if you spend a bit more you can avoid soldering altogether. I’m not sure that I want to be arsed making up kits….someone will no doubt blame for shagging out their already shagged out battery, plus there are so many variables / choices of components, each one would be custom made…..and the costs will change. For example, I have used a simple key switch…..but someone will want a remote; or I have red flashing LEDs, but some will want green static ones etc etc etc AL
The siren on this is 102db.....it hurts your ears when it goes off.... ....so it might be at least a bit of a deterrent...... .....I was trying to watch racing at the time I got unwanted interest in the bike, so I was constantly looking back at it 100 yards away......couldn't relax, but I would have heard the alarm.... AL.
Soldering isn't a problem for me, I do a hell of a lot when I'm at work. Possibly easiest thing then is compile a list of components and a full set of instructions and send it by email. I will pm you my email address. Chris
Will do, back soon.....and the same for anyone else..... PMs are playing up a bit today though..... AL
Off topic but mine have been since yesterday.....I thought it was just me tho, hopefully Rob will fix it now then.
We put our virtual car keys near the virtual bowl of condoms on the virtual coffee table....... or in my case, the boring answer PM personal details for ads in the classified section. :frown:
Scary looking isn't he! Shame he'd lick you to death rather than bite you, unless you're covered in feathers that is, oh and he doesn't bark!
