Has anybody got a rubber cover thingy that fits over the back of the left hand headlight wiring for a 748/9*6? It's the one on the projector light that protects the wiring from getting wet. Cheers, R
Has someone deleted a post there or something? bit confusing. Anyway, to the point. Might have one in the garage @RickyX I'll have a look tomorrow and let you know. I've got a complete headlight with cracked glass on one side so I think it has the rubber with it.
@RickyX Got one of those covers. The loom is all part of it though so think I'll have to cut the wires to get it off. Do you want the whole loom or just the cover?
@RickyX It can't be removed without either cutting the ends of the loom or tearing the cap. I only want the postage money so your call. I can send the whole loom and caps or cut it and just send the cap.
The rubber plug can be removed by passing the connectors through the small rectangular hole in the end cap as I have done it before. However if the rubber is in poor condition then you may find it will split due to age. When I removed mine they were fine and I had no problems. I did this when swapping over some headlamp wiring. Use some WD40 etc. to ease the job.
That's cool - I'll take the rubber thingy and loom and see what I can do. Let me know the postage and I'll paypal you some dosh. Cheers, R
