I'm new to Ducati and my ST4 shows engine temperature in Fahrenheit. I would prefer it in Celsius if possible. Is there any way it can be changed. The only change I can find is for the Time on the clock, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
I don't believe it can be changed, I have the same problem. The Celsius & Fahrenheit meters have different part numbers. If there was a way, I would like to learn it. Craig
Actually I was looking through old threads yesterday and spotted one that advised it is not possible to change! Euro ST4 has Celsius, UK ST4 has Fahrenheit and US ones may be either (but not changeable.) I, and you, will have to live with it.
Bizarre. The UK converted from Fahrenheit to Celsius in 1966, now nearly 50 years ago. What were they thinking?
It's the same with the 748SPS the UK models were Fahrenheit and EU models were in Centigrade. Fortunately the gauges are interchangeable. You could mark the gauge to note particularly important temperatures, like fan cutting in etc. If the gauge comes apart then you might be able to get a gauge overlay to stick on in it's place. It might be worth checking out.
Nah! I can work it out easy enough but it was just a 'nice to have'. You would have thought Ducati would have saved us the effort though. Never mind, have a nice Christmas everyone and thanks for the help.
I think the UK is one of the few places that measures distance in miles and temp in Celsius, so I suspect Ducati decided to make two displays, one for the USA (MPH/Deg F) and one for the rest of the world (Kmh/Deg C), and just to complicated to make a third variant for the UK (MPH/Deg C). I wonder if the UK bikes speedometers are marked in both mph and kmh, as I think Ducati's sold in the USA, with analogue speedometers, were only marked in MPH, either to avoid confusion or prevent Canadians from buying cheap bikes in the USA and importing them.
