1200 Wonky Dash Lights Win

  1. My 5 and a half year old multi is sat at moto rapido as I type this enjoying a free tasty hot chocolate having its dashboard replaced.

Ducati have done it as good will and all I have to pay is the hours labour.

I went to moto rapido originally as I have an aftermarket warranty and I was trying to claim for the flickering dash lights through the warranty.

However when I explained the fault to the tech at moto he said he could put a case to Ducati for replacement even though I'm not the first owner.

He put the case and Ducati duly agreed and sent the part.

    Not bad service IMO.

  3. That's good news - well done

  4. irritatingly the suspension ecu issue I had before has just resurfaced again, still thats what warantys are for

  5. Mobile, your bike is 5yrs old but how long ago did you buy it and was it from Moto Rapido, just asking cos I was wondering is it their after market warranty ?

  6. Here's the thing with those dashboards: they replace 'em with an identical one which fails in exactly the same way in a similar amount of time. I'm on my 3rd and the previous two lasted almost exactly 12200 miles. Agree it's decent service of your Ducati and your dealer to fix it like that though. I had a similar experience with mine when all the electronics went crazy and Riders replaced a couple of ECU's and the rear shock, out of warranty, only charging the labour, with Ducati's say-so.

  7. bought it from ducati aylesbury, moto have had a small amount of service custom from me
