Hi All.. Your help please if you can.. I've a Ducati 2010 796 Hyper that I'm doing a project build on.. I'm no expert but I wanted to fit ohlins front and rear but can't find any listing for my bike anywhere.. The standard issue are 43mm front fork USD type with 165 mm travel.. Also do you know if anyone has done a big bore job on a 796..? Again can get a bb kit for a 748 but can't find any for a 796 including Pistal.. Thanks for your advice.. NOODS
I'm prepared to be shot down on this but the triple clamp spindle length seems to be common across a number of Ducatis which means, so long as you get the appropriate top and bottom yoke, there should be at least one of the Ohlins forks from the range that can be made to fit. When I popped in to MRs this afternoon, your project cropped up in conversation with Stuart and both he and Wilf are putting their heads together to try and come up with a solution to get more performance out of your 796.
