848 848 Ecu Question And Possible Remap Services.

  1. Hey guys, i noticed my 848 starts up with SBK 848 TSE. Now as i am aware that is the current stock ECU however as far as i am aware my bike is fitted with Termignoni end cans (could even be the full system) and ive noticed fuel economy isn't great, usually about 100 miles to a tank and after todays rideout a measly 70.

Are there any places you guys highly recommend for a remap that won't cost me an arm and a leg and do you recommend just flashing the stock ECU or buying the Termi/Aftermarket ECU.

Also where i bought the bike from they have disabled the alarm/immobiliser as the owner said it drained the battery, however id ideally like to reconnect this, ive been told however that is one of the functions of the ECU.

Sorry of some of these questions sound basic, im not the greatest mechanically minded.

  2. Where are u? I got mine remapped in Winchester by MotoRapido, £300 but made a massive difference to throttle response and overall ride ability as it turned off all the o2 sensor junk which continually leans the bike out at constant throttle.

I never got much more than 100 miles though I'm afraid, but I didn't suffer much mpg drop and I got a massive improvement in ride ability.

  3. Im in Derby which is right in the centre so i can pretty much ride anywhere.

Yeah ive noticed if i pin the throttle instead of hitting a standard rev limiter itll kinda drop momentarily in power.

Would you definitely reccomend it then?

If im honest id just like my bike to be setup to be the healthiest and best for performance it can possibly be :D

  4. Yeah. Mine was a 'superstock' map so perhaps still compromised, however a full rolling road dyno with custom map for each cylinder would surely be even better!

  5. I'm over in Sutton, just down the A38 from you. If you want it plugging in and giving a once over, I have the equipment to do that so at least you'll know where you're starting from. Can also reflash ECU and dyno if you want to go down that route, but I'd get it squared up first with what you have before looking at other routes.
If you have questions, help and pointers cost nowt.....

  9. I'd go with @nelly - you wont find anyone better - ANYWHERE!!

  10. Have you considered getting the right ECU for the exhaust and run the 99 Ron fuel

  11. Is that not what he is trying to do? He has the right ecu, just the wrong map.

  12. The way I read it he's got the wrong ecu for the termis, why remap when Ducati performance have already done it to match the exhaust or end cans.
If you look hard enough ecu come up on eBay and for not silly money

  13. You can get the map and flash it to the ecu, even cheaper

  14. Trust @nelly

  15. Plugging in the 'correct' ecu is a start. If they're anything like the chips of the old bikes they simply bunged in more fuel. They same/better can be achieved by sticking a meter up the bikes pipe and getting someone like Nelly to set the AFR properly / TPS reset....:upyeah:

  16. He doesn't need a new ecu though, just the correct DP map for his set up using his existing ecu. £35 to get it on there, courtesy of ChrisW or BB1000.

  17. I have had it done myself, and as i went to meet BB1000 had the tps reset done too.

  18. That cheap! Good price who can do my 120D for that money

  19. ChrisW can flash the map if you send him your ecu, you will need a tps reset though as Pavey said ... i can only reflash the ecu when attached to the bike, got the leads and maps for my own bike really :D
