Can anyone advise how to remove the black fairing pieces either side of the dash and above the headlights? i'm routing the cabling for my new satnav and looking for best routing, removing these 2 x black plastic fairing pieces would make the job a little easier. thanks
found the answer, I downloaded the pdf manual (on another thread here) and found the instructions for removing.
The black fairing trims come off as follows, remove the black front plastic trim that sits in the middle of the tank (underneath is the emergency override) it sits on rubber tabs so pulling gently will remove it once removed you will see 2 small fasteners (2 per side) for the black plastic trims remove these and the trims slide back then off. The red/white trim above the headlight is as follows, now you have removed the plastic side trims have a look at the rear of the remaining black trim that is fitted to the red cowl (where you slid the trims from) you will see a fastener, remove this and now is the tricky big because you have to gently pull/slide the cowl from its position it's easy and self explanatory .
