I`m so sorry to hear that Andy. Can`t offer any advice I`m afraid. I can share this with you though, don`t know if it`ll be of any help to you and especially your wife, hope it is. I know it`s completely different but my brother-in-law has MS, he was diagnosed 3 years ago at 39. He uses a walking stick now but when he went to Spain last year with his new girlfriend and his two sons, he hired a mobility scooter to get around, everywhere he went on the scooter it was four up and they ragged the arse out of it. He`s always had a bike but stopped riding for a while before he was diagnosed, guess he knew something was wrong but was in denial. Earlier this year he bought a road legal quad, he hasn`t got the balance for two wheels anymore but the quad scratches the "biker itch" for him. Sorry I couldn`t be of more help.
