Looking for a decent rear shock for my 888 strada Anything that fits and will keep the wheel on the ground considered! Showa, Ohlins, Nitron, WP etc. Thanks, Jon
Thanks guys, I think the monster shock is 25 mm shorter, which could possibly be compensated for with the ball joints but I don't know if it would alter the leverage ratio on the shock as the rocker would be in a different angle. Tempting price currently though! Mr R, thanks for the offer; sounds like mine but without the leaky seal! If it's ok I will get a price to have the original unit rebuilt and I might well be in touch with you! Thanks, Jon
Hi Steve, Thanks for the info. The one above is an 02 monster which according to the owner is shorter, and no remote res (Sachs possibly, onto a 996 type arm?) but as you say, earlier ones are the right length, but have a shorter hose to the reservoir I think? Not in a position currently but I will certainly be interested in the Ohlins from your bike - possibly when I get topside of the 996 renovation that is soaking up all of my "spare" cash and hours right now! Feel free to pm me any pics, price etc. I might get mine rebuilt or a grotty monster shock on a budget to put me on for now, and look to the Swedish gold later! Cheers, Jon
