A tanklock is an optional extra supplied by Ducati with Multistrada DVTs - it's in the accessories list. I had mine fitted from new, and it is fine with a 4 litre tankbag. It only just clears the handlebars on full steering lock as it is, so a bigger bag would be pushing your luck. Don't be expecting to fit a SatNav to a Ram mount on the top yoke - there is not enough room to see a SatNav over the bag without obscuring the instrument panel.
Ken, I have the Givi X308 20lt bag and it works just fine. Instruments still perfectly visible from normal seated position (i'm 5'11") and steering lock not effected. Steve See images.....
I have the Ducati Touring Tankbag [Part No. 96780511A / Link to Ducati Accessories web page] which is 15 litres as standard and can be expanded to 21 litres - a similar size to the Givi 308 tankbag. It doesn't foul the bars on full lock and doesn't obscure the display. I does obscure the Scottoiler eSystem and TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System) displays which I have mounted on the bar clamp. I use a Navihalter mount for my Garmin Zumo 660 Sat Nav which puts it above the bike's display. I also have the smaller Ducati Pocket tankbag which is part of the Urban Accessory Pack which is very similar to the Givi 3D603 tankbag. NB. The Urban Accessory Pack also includes the Tanklock ring however if you buy a Ducati tankbag you have to buy the tanklock ring separately.
That bag looks great. Has it marked the paint at all? Just wondering if I should order a tank protector at the same time. Cheers.
No marks as yet, but only been used a handful if times, so early days. Tank protector might be a good shout. Steve
