Has anyone got a set of 999 or 749 pillion footrests sat in their garage and no longer needed/wanted that they would be prepared to sell to me. I am in the process of gathering biposto seat components to give me the option of restoring my 999 to its original spec and the only ones that have come up on ebay are silly money.
Paul, looks like Northan Monkey has sorted me out for the pegs, already have the sub frame/pillion seat mechanism/cable and lock with keys, a new red pillion seat assembly inc the helmet cable and the tail fairing and seat unit. Although the tail fairing and seat unit are still to arrive and fingers crossed the condition is advertised. I may be looking for the tail light and number plate bracket ass'y in the future (the latter a bit of the bike it really does not miss IMHO). I don't think I need anything else just now but thanks for your offer Pavey, I am gathering bits to enable the bike to be restored to close to its original configuration should I ever sell it and the new owner prefer it that way, I have no current plans to sell it and intend using it as much as possible this year. My mono set up is a cut down bip sub frame and it will most likely remain as a 999 mono so no bits to be offloaded
