Oh, don't get me wrong, I've read enough elsewhere on here to be convinced. Trouble is it's an expensive month with this purchase, but for sure next month! And she's here I shall get my red felt tip and start colouring
The best bike in the best colour. Congrats! And you even live near to where I grew up (Blewbury, south of Didcot). I improved mine inexpensively by anodising the pegs, carrier and heal guards black and getting a carbon zorst guard. (check my photos). Top bikes. Had mine from new 10 years ago and it's now got about 50'000 kms, I think. So forget red. Black was classier and rarer.
Certainly rarer... Only mine and one other seen on eBay/AutoTrader in black. But they are cheaper than equivalent red ones. Our gain @gliddofglood Lots of plans, budget permitting, so will prioritise battery cables and see what bits can be improved next. I fully plan to keep this one for quite a while, perhaps getting a second bike for commuting type stuff. FZ6n maybe. Oh, just PX'd one of those. Honestly, I'm not missing it...
I never used to like the look of the of the 999, mostly because of the headlights, but the look has really grown on me. It has an individuality that I've come admire.
