848 848 Dry Clutch Squeak

Discussion in '848 / 1098 / 1198' started by Wallie, Mar 5, 2016.

  1. So I gave the 848 it's first outing at Donington on Monday, and i've noticed its a squeak coming from the dry clutch when the lever is pulled during it's stripdown today.

I've no experience with a dry clutch before and I can't remember noticing this before. It felt fine on the day mind, but i've noticed the clutch is really heavy compared to my old ZX6R even with a oberon slave cylinder fitted.

Is this anything to worry about or is it another lovely part of dry clutch ownership?

    Thanks.

  2. Sounds normal to me.
Did you apply grease to the pushrods end and around the o rings?

  5. Awesome, cheers guys!

  6. Just sounds like the springs catching on the side of the pressure plate, quite normal, was the dry clutch already on the bike or have you done the conversion?
