796 Hypermotard Lv Decat

  1. Hi guys I have read through previous posts on this but still don't really understand

    I have the 2012 796 (it's new to me)
    (Stock pipe which I want to keep for now)

    I have also purchased a decat Lv pipe (eBay)

    Can I just swap them, or is it advised to also purchase the 02 sensors if so where do they plug in and do they link out the reading and go back to the ecu? What are their purpose?
    As don't really want lights on the dash

  2. I have a LV decat pipe on my 2010 796,the LV pipe should have come with holes for the sensors,they just screw out of the stock pipe and screw in the LV pipe! Hope that helps!!

  4. Yep,all works perfect,mine's been on there for a few years and no problems.....you may want to just use some really good penetrating oil,or ACF50 on the sensors the night before,just to make sure they unscrew nice and easy :)
