I have tried to google this with out luck. I plan to weld up an old socket to a ground down spanner to make a cylinder head nut spanner. However, I cannot get the dimension of the socket position to the centre of the ring part of spanner. If someone does have one could you measure it and post the dimensions please. The distance of the socket from the ring part of the spanner isn't critical. What is important is that the torque wrench must be at 90° to the spanner when tightening.
as above, and if you don't want to go to the trouble of getting a spanner welded then you can use a flat, ring/ring combination spanner and a hex section or a hex-headed screw with nuts on it to use as a drive for the torque wrench.
There is a torque app you can get on your phone that recalculated the torque figureyou need when you have an extended spanner. With this one the torque wrench is inline with the spanner and it doesn't matter where yo weld the socket attachment
