1200 DVT Euro 4 And 5

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Brakes508, Apr 2, 2016.

  1. Morning folks! Getting my new bike in 3 weeks!! Quick question does anyone know if the new Mutley is euro 4 and 5 compliant?? Maby thanks.

  2. All new models of bikes (and cars etc) sold currently have to comply to Euro 4, so yes. Euro 5 is almost identical to Euro 4, and for most types of emissions it is identical, so meeting Euro 5 (when it comes in) will not be difficult.

  3. That isn't quite correct, Pete. Euro 4 is not compulsory for new bikes until 1 January 2017 but the DVT is Euro 4 compliant.

  4. New models coming onto the market must comply.. Now!.
All new bikes sold next year must comply, new or existing models:Arghh:

That's my take on this after a quick chat with a dealer yesterday..

  5. I didn't say it was compulsory for new bikes (which would not have been quite correct) - I said it was compulsory for new models of bike, which is correct. The point we can all agree on is that the DVT Multi is in fact Euro 4 compliant. Until you take the cat off.

  6. Euro 5 will have OBD capability so fault code readers may be able to be used.

  9. So we've established they ate euro 4 compliant are they euro 5 also or will that just be an ecu software tweet???

  10. Bikes don't need to be Euro 5 compliant. I think 2020 is the date for that.
