1200 DVT New Multi Has Arrived :-)

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Mr Noble, Apr 9, 2016.

  1. Picked her up yesterday from Seastar in Norfolk.

Ridden home and into the garage, sadly not going to have time for a proper ride until next weekend now.

First impressions are fantastic. Super comfy after the 821 Monster that never did my knees any favours.

My only one complaint is with the positioning of the datatag sticker right on the nose! :tearsofjoy::seenoevil:

Was planning to add a termi or akrapovic but so far, the exhaust sounds mega!

I also forgot how much I like standing up on the run. Used to stand a lot with my GS but obviously couldn't on the Monster.

Now to order some farkles. 3M screen guard first off!

  2. Very good, let the blinging begin!

  3. Happy new bike

  4. Congrats!!

  5. Congrats. Slap a 42 tooth rear sprocket on there sharpish. Best bang for buck improvement by miles.

  6. Does th 42 tooth make it easier to ride slowly? What are the advantages of it?

Think I'm going to go for the PP screen, and maybe try the puig touring one for longer trips. I'm not a fan of the buffeting after having an unfaired bike.

Also fancy popping the touring seat on as the std one pitches you forward onto your gentleman parts!!

  7. Very nice, enjoy.

  8. Any tips for where to buy the PP screen and oem touring seat from?

  9. Wherever you bought the bike from I would say. You ought to get a 10% discount at least.

  10. The sprocket change makes it much easier around town, but it also makes the acceleration far better too.
    Highly recommended. :)
I bought my PP screen from the dealer - as already stated, push for a discount.

    Enjoy the bike. :upyeah:

  11. As per above. It's a bit high geared around town as standard so the 42T sprocket makes it rather nicer and less need to pull the clutch.

Also, at motorway speeds it gives you more instant overtaking zap as the engine is revving a little bit higher, and the gearing is shorter so it all gets more zappy.

And just in general, the bike is much more lively and willing to throw you towards the horizon as you laugh your head off.
