Evening My left mirror/indicator is not fitting quite right. The lugs just pop through but not in quite firm enough and the bolt does not quite fully tighten up, hard to turn but spinning. Do you have both rubber gaskets in place? One between the mirror and fairing, one between the fairing and mirror stay. The bolt on the link is correct, it's a "safety" bolt which snaps right under the head in case of dropping the bike.
Yes, all rubbers there, 3 in total. The mirror just doesn't pull in fully, I'd say the thread was stripped as it continues to turn but I can't pull it through, maybe it's damaged some how.
They can be a pain to fit correctly, make sure the wires are routed through the rubber gaskets properly, if everything isn't lined up just so then you will have problems getting it all to tighten as it should...I spent hours doing this once.
