Looking for a little advice on a 748R. Just bought a 2002 model and wanting to get it back to original spec. Did they come with a white number board on the nose? Did any have a carbon front mudguard or carbon V radiator fairing? Any advice appreciated!
My friends doesn't have a carbon mudguard or white number board at the front. It does have the white number boards at the back. 2002 should be full Ohlins with the 4 pad Brembo calipers, also has a carbon airbox with the attached side panels under the tank
Only carbon is a 2 piece air box, Ohlins forks and rear shock but not steering damper. Colour coded plastic V piece and front mudguard. 5 spoke Marchesini wheels, 17x3.5 F & 17x5.5 R. Black mirrors. Stock exhaust is 45mm aluminium but comes with 45/50mm mid pipe and 50mm carbon end cans, 2 x eproms. Andy
The 02 model was shown on advertising material as having colour coded mirrors and Ohlins steering damper. The one I bought new had the normal steering damper, but Ducati kindly supplied the correct damper when the error was pointed out! They were also supplied with paddock stand and cover, plus the termis, mid pipe and chip.
Yeah my mates has standard steering damper, not Ohlins. It has black mirrors also Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thanks guys, all super useful. I think it's pretty close to standard spec then, so not much work to do. It's got a white number board on the nose so that'll go back to solid red.
Colour coded mirrors here too but no ohlins steering damper - can anyone prove theirs left the factory with the ohlins steering damper? i read that dealers would retrofit at no extra cost because it was uncommon for uk imported bikes to have the ohlins
