Long story short, pootling around last night trying to run the bike in (2 weeks old) I was coming up to some lights that started to change, car in front slowed, decided they could in fact make it through so accelerated hard (with me following) and finally decided that no, they couldn't make it so locked-up. Result was me desperately trying to stop, locking the front and hitting them at around 10mph and dropping to the floor! Amazingly, there is no fairing, exhaust or swingarm damage and so I got off incredibly lightly but I do need to get hold of the following: LH clip-on LH mirror assembly Clutch lever Bar-end Anyone have any of these they are willing to sell? Ouch glad youre ok, that’s the main thing. We've all done the dropped bike thing:thumbsup: If the 1299 has the same mirrors as the 899 you can have one of mine FOC. They're getting removed but wont be for another couple of weeks (think its booked in around 20th May). PM me if that fits your plans.
Many thanks Red899 for the more than generous offer - I'm unsure if they are the same but will endeavour to check and come back to you. TBH, I need to decide whether to bother replacing as they're not the best anyway or going for the bar-end route...
Hahaha, have to admit to being quite shocked myself although TBH by the time the sensor would have registered I would have hit the car anyway...here's a lesson kids, don't drive too close to the car in front - my bad
Thanks Pavey, not sure so will check. I put an email into the stealers to see what RRP is and have asked them. I imagine they will be different but hope not.
hiya the 1299 mirrors are different to the 899 and 1199. snapped two mirrors off already moving mine around. cheaper to get a mirror from ducati parts online Holland but saw a ebay add from Canada for a brand new set for £90 incl taxes. if you get a new one through a uk dealer you will pay more and it wont be any quicker than getting it abroad. hope this helps.

Pavey, I checked the micro fiche on DesmoDuck Part Catalog (very useful site) for both 1198 and 1199 and the part number is different though they do look similar. Not wanting to waste your time I will just buy the one that Ducati Parts Online have for sale as I can pick up the clip-on from there too. Thanks for the offer...
Red899, unfortunately nuts n bolts is correct, the mirrors are different but many thanks for the offer. I'll try the Canadian offer on the bay...
I have a 1299 mirror... It might be the left but not sure. Will check tomorrow pm (not at home at the mo).
