1200 DVT Shield Rattle

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by OtherbikesaBrompton, Dec 30, 2015.

  1. evening all. Forgot my earplugs today and noticed an annoying rattle from the wind shield. Didn't improve when adjusted height. Anyone else experience similar issue and/or have any suggestions? Cheers.

  2. Yeah, I thought I had the same problem so fitted a full Termi, all gone now ;)

  4. I have the same issue, bikes 2 weeks and 1400km old

  5. @Hyperextended: No, this parts are just for the Multistradas 2013
and 2014. If you need a better part for the new Multistrada
you could send me a scetch and i make you the 3D Datas for
    a lasersintered Polyamidpart.

  7. If I report the issue next time I'm in the stealership will they just shrug their shoulders ? lol

  8. I have the rattle as well and cant see or feel where it comes from. Just to clarify what you are saying - is the bottom joint where the centre screen rod goes into the black plastic? If it is I'll try the foam first and then if that stops it use superglue as a permanent fix.
    Many thanks

  14. Mine seems to rattle underneath the black round joint, deeper in the fairing, really hard to get to without dismantling most of the front end. I'll try the superglue trick first

  16. Can I just confirm the picture, are you saying fill the grove indentation up where the pencil tip has highlighted?? Just a bit nervous about superglue going on the bike at 195 miles! lol need to be 100% accurate with this!! thanks...

  18. Brilliant thanks mate! since I put the Puig touring screen on last Sunday and went for a wee run it was noticeable more pronounced but not a surprise given it's a fair bit bigger that the standard screen. Fingers crossed that will sort it! :)
