  3. You have to ask nicely - she's very shy

  4. I fitted the Evotech hanger this last weekend. Not too bad to sort yourself, a bit tricky getting to the bolts but I've got more tools than an X-Factor audition so managed to get to the awkward ones.

I'll sort a couple of pics ASAP. The back of the bike looks way better, especially the swingarm side, really opens it up and improves the profile.

But given BoB isn't playing "I'll show you mine if" I might just wait....:)

  5. Great now you've practiced on yours you can come and fit mine - should be here Friday :upyeah:

  6. You will need some patience if just trying to use regular allen keys, the bolts are tricky to get to. You need to remove the seat and I also loosened the side panels to make access easier.

I'd recommend a soft rag over the rear shock as it looked vulnerable to a bash being close to the bolts on the swingarm side.

I also fitted my tax disc holder which I m actually pretty stoked with, by far the best solution I've seen - I got the Oxford tube and there are a couple of spare bolt holes on the left of the engine that are not used and it fits a treat in this space.

  7. Do you lose the rear footpeg when you fit the exhaust hanger?

  8. You do, that's the whole point really. On one side it is removed and on the other the replacement hanger just supports the exhaust whereas the original supports the exhaust and also has the rear peg mounted on it. The original pegs are three bolts, two underneath and one on top, the replacement is simpler and just uses the two underside which is more than enough given the weight it is supporting is so much less, even more so with Termis :)

The Evotech is a simple matte finish and looks good in place. Delivery for me was spot on next day and well packaged with a new bolt for the connection to the exhaust itself.

I'd recommend, I have the Evotech radiator guards as well and was tempted by their stubby levers.

  9. Anticipation is... Perhaps BoB is still searching for that perfect stretch of tarmac to get to the 600 mile service ASAP...

  10. weekends looking a bit tasty weather wise but think I may need a shiny clutch slave finding heavy round town - better get the other bits fitted first though

  11. i'm thinking a quick trip over to box hill maybe sunday?

  12. I'm away this weekend, can't get out on the bike. A shame, weather looks great and Box Hill or Newlands will be fun.

  13. Suprised but I am finding the clutch heavy round town and filtering so looking at an Oberon Slave - had a STM one on my old Monster but I want a matte finish in either titanium 'looking' or black

    Any other recommendations?

  14. I like this forum I can just ramble on and no one takes any notice - fitted crash bungs today , not something one would really want to boast about but they came with some Jägermeister and a free shot glass!!! Only ze Germans would do that

  15. Those crash bungs are very Germanic, how come you chose those?

On the clutch, I've found it heavier than I would like. I'm probably going to have the dealer fit the Oberon when the running in service is done. I've also found my Rizoma brake fluid tank vibrates more than I would like, I left the standard brackets on. Ie now ordered the Rizoma brackets for both sides. It vibrated enough that the top wasn't tight any more, the OEM bracket is very thin really and not ideal.

The brackets are a rip off but do look pretty trick. If doing the bike now, I'd have the "next" fluid tanks from Rizoma and the brackets as well.

Your tax disc is in the wrong place.

  16. Interesting choice of bungs, be a dull place if we all chose the same... I've a mixture of R&G & Rizoma, also went for the DP Clutch actuator upgrade. There's also a wish list...

  17. round and black? oh no thats the tyres -

got my fluid pot brackets already, stick the old pots on the bay and wait for the 'next' ones

tax disc - dont worry it will soon be shrouded in a case of pure Oberon in special celebration of the equinox
