1200 New Dash Does It Have To Go To Dealer ?

  1. My dash broke and I've got one off eBay 2nd hand , just reading the manual before fitting and it says

Whenever the instrument panel is renewed, the ignition key programming procedure must be repeated

Does this mean that I need a dealer with a computer to fit the dash for me?

    Regards
    Chris

  2. Many thanks its all booked in now . Got to take V5 with me due to a legal requirement as well. Incase anybody else searches for it.

  3. Here's a suggestion. After the replacement dash is fitted, get the dealer to record the actual mileage of the bike and the mileage as now shown on the replacement dash in the Service & Warranty booklet, and stamp the record with their dealer stamp. Otherwise if you want to sell the bike, buyers may think there's something funny going on.

  4. IMG_2577.jpg thanks I didn't know it didn't transfer over . Gutted it has done 35492 miles I am trying to keep using it and enjoying it and its nice watching the miles clock up. taken a pic for proof too as sometimes the numbers don't show at as you can see from the speed

  5. Don,t the 2013-14 bikes have their mileage in the ECU rather than the dash, so it transfers over?

  6. The dash I got off eBay didn't work :-( my model was 2011 ABS the dash was an "S" and wouldn't work with the ECU. Very Very lucky Ducati Winchester helped me out and magic'd up a warranty item which was fantastic . To make the dash work would need to get it flashed back to factory apparently , still I now have a working dash with speedo so well chuffed

  7. Yeay for Moto Rapido Ducati Winchester, really brill guys, recommended even if its a 100 mls away from London !
