finally got my 2013 hyperstrada picked up today. Took the train down from Cambridge to Laguna mamotorcycles in Kent where my white one was ready to play , complete with new tyres which they decided it needed during its pdi. Bonus ! I do like the white ones, after spending ages looking for one in my price range this white one cropped up and job done It's going to take a bit of time to get used to it it think but that's good. My background is full on sports bikes, followed by several years of nothing so I'm kinda starting again. The Reason for the strada was I wanted the option of playing silly buggers whilst still having the choice of being sensible when needed. Well , it wobbles a little at speed but that's ok and I found myself cruising at around 75 . Wasn't the best of trips home as motorways are far from its best hunting ground but it gave me time to settle in . First hing home was off with the 3 boxes as it looks a lot better with out. So what's the plan ? Well, I'm building up a classic zxr 750 racing bike so this Hyper will allow me to go out and get used to riding again whilst building up my confidence . I fully intend to do a track day or two as well. Mods ? Well she's a little quiet at the minute and I might get the suspension altered to suit my 16 stone as well so I can make use of the bikes corner bashing capabilities . Onwards !
Yeah mine does the wobble thing at speed once in a while. Just confirms that it's the hooligan bike that I expected. I actually prefer riding my hyper over my 1299.
It's just a standard white one but yes it exists . Woke up this morning with a grin and the thought that I was going to pop to the man show to look for a new lid as my old one is a bit, well old.
I upped the tyre pressure on my 1100 (36f/38r) firmed up the rebound and a tad more compression damping.....Got rid of most of the wobble and I can actually feel what the front tyre is doing now
