Hi all I have recently gone to the bare metal with my rear brake pads on my multi 2013 . Only done 5500 miles. I have ordered brembo carbon from m and p and hopefully just put them on. The disc looks abit goosed but changing bike in november for new one. are they easy to replace.
Folk are always complaining about the rear brake not working. What a refreshing change to find somebody whose brake not only works but gets so much use it has quickly worn out! Anyone else found the same?
After following the tutorial on the other forum (holding rear caliper high up with something wedged inbetween the pads) my rear brake has been what i expect fron a heavy bike, havent worn them out yet but im running the carbon brembo pads aswell, lasted around 8k so far
I'm on my second set of pads and there is visible wear on the disk, but it still won't bit hard enough to trigger the ABS.
2014 year multi with skyhook, first rear pads lasted till 7500 those went at again at 11500 miles,I use a lot of rear brake comuting and when 2 up...it's my style I suppose.
I don't use the rear brake at all unless its pissing down so I tend not to wear through rear pads but just checked mine and the chain side pad is almost down to metal (11,700 miles on clock and I have had it 6700 of those). Good job I had ordered a full set of Brembo pads from HPS for my upcoming trip to have as spares if I needed them whilst out of the UK. Looks like the new rear pads will be going in before we leave
