My Alpinestar jacket is a large, and is "pretty snug" on me, so I would guess the sizing translates to around a slim fit 40-42 chest. just a guess, and mine is a leather jacket, so maybe the cut is different.
I think @pauliealdridge69 is trying to establish what size a "L" really is (ie what chest size it should fit) rather than if you're a fat knacker or not
