Hello Folks, can anyone tell me how the clock / instrument block connector comes apart? View is really limited under the clocks and my less than ballerina type hands simply do not fit in the space. If any one has a photo it would be a great help. To note I am trying to remove the upper fairing part to replace the headlight / oil cooler mounting bracket and don't want to break any seemingly expensive parts.
I presume you are trying to remove the connector from the dash? I've had mine off and I remember it was a pig to get into it as there's not much room for hands. As I recall there is a tab that you have to press quite hard that releases the lock allowing the plug to be pulled out. Use a small mirror to inspect the back of the plug that you can't see so that you know what you're aiming for.
Thanks Derek for the quick Response - I guess I'll have to use my small compact mirror from me make-up bag
So easy when you know how - just have to gently press down on the clip (top side of the connector) and pull out at the same time
