Sign In Issues

  1. @Rob, for a long time now when I try and sign in to the forum from my home desktop PC using Win 10 and the Firefox browser, the page hangs and you just get the progressing flashing bar in the top right of the screen until the page drops out. Tried to sign in at work yesterday on a desktop running Win 7 and IE 11 and had exactly the same problem. I have no problem signing in on my home desktop running Win 10 and using the new Microsoft Edge nor do I have any issues signing in with iOS or Android on my tablet and phone. Any suggestions ? Andy

  2. @Android853sp - I've checked your profile and there's nothing there to suggest a problem. So it would seem to me that its a browser issue.

    @Rob what do you think?

Ps. Thread moved to the correct section ;)

  3. I'm wondering if it is associated with an Ad Blocker. My Firefox and work's IE 11 have that in common where my Edge, iOS and Android do not. Andy

  4. I had the same issue this morning around 08am - however, all is good now (running on max OS X) :grinning:

  5. I've been having this problem all day,so much so that I've had register another account to even ask what the problem might be.
It's not just the PC,I'm not able to log in via my laptop either
My browser is performing normally and letting me log in to ebay,Facebook etc, with no issues.
I've created another account, this is letting me log on here as normal.
    So far I've:
rebooted the PC and the laptop
cleared my browsing data on both machines
Fyi,when I registered/logged on under this new user name and looked at the members register,it shows that my alter ego was on here was 4 minutes ago...looking at the members register!
Any suggestions? Or have I been banned?

  7. Have you tried switching it off and back on again? Serious question btw.

  8. Yep.Turned the PC off for about 20 minutes before booting it up,same deal,(hence the new registration).
Couldn't log in from the laptop earlier either,so not 100% it's a machine issue.
I'm going to change from Chrome to Internet Explorer and see if that makes any difference

  9. Now that's totally bizarre.
I've opened Internet explorer and logged in straightaway...weird

  10. I'm going to log out with this one now and use IE.
    Thanks for your help.

  11. Ok just a quick update and possibly worth remembering if anyone has issues:
Logged on with internet explorer as stated.all good.
Logged out/closed IE and tried to log in again with Google Chrome.
    Back to normal!
