Morning all Anyone know the Recommended service time it takes on average for a 9000 mile service on the 2016 DVT? Thanks
Had my Dvt serviced back in April, arrived at 9am for the booked appointment, left at 1.15pm !? For basically an oil change, a kick of the tyres & a few updates, £220 lighter too I worked for a Mazda main dealer, a first 12k service took 30 minutes in all honesty That's why having worked in the trade, it bloody grates me that we have to pay these rediculous service charges (Sorry, that's for another thread ) I'm guessing in reality a 9k shouldn't take more than 30 minutes either should it.
I believe the time charged on my 1st service was 1.5 hours or 2 hours It was £150 labour + materials. Then I got home and had to drain 400CC of oil out as they had overfilled it... That took 15 minutes - only because I was taking photos and looking up the torque settings for the drain plug. But still something that I should not have had to do I politely informed the dealer who were appologetic for the mistake.
If you phone the service desk of your chosen service agent, they will have a menu unit time cost for the scheduled services. On the face of it, the 9000 mile service is a little more involved than an oil change as explained at the back of your owner's handbook. Tell them you want to wait but remember your bike has to cool down before they can start the work. I'd expect you to be kicking your heels for about 2 hours. Andy
ok 2 ish hours joke really I know that have to connect Computer ext. @Simon Audi hmm funny you mention over fill, I looked at my glass and they have almost filled it to the top, maybe we are missing something that Ducati have not told us? Think it is the Oil price they charge that grates most on me
