Hi all, Here's my thing. I have a Monster 620ie and the instrument panel is goosed. It's not just the electronics, the needles have fallen off the gauges (don't ask..). So I want to renew it. The only used item I can see that's a) the right shape, b) comes from an injected bike and c) has electronic speedo and tacho feeds, is from an S4 900 and I am wondering whether it's compatible? 1. I know that the gauge will be 'wrong' in that the speedo will read far greater speeds than the 620 will achieve. I also know that it'll be showing the wrong mileage. 2. I know that it will need some magic working on it - I plan to send the ECU and new gauge to the guys in Holland to be properly paired, virginised or whatever. Other than that, is there any reason why this might not be successful? Does anyone know how different these units actually are? Cheers, Paul
I don't know if they are compatible but the instrument panels from the M695 and the M900ie also appear to be the same as the M620 which may widen your scope.
Keys/Locks and Dash are a matched set, you would need a virginized replacement Dash, the Red key and a means to reprogramme it I think.
I think the OP is aware of that. If he has the immobiliser function removed from the ECU it should work with any dash.
