New circuit in Wales to be built by Jerez developer

  1. Just up the road from me - can't wait myself :)

  2. Who's the end client? Who owns the land? Has detailed planning been given? Who's funding it? Are the funds there or are they having to go out for equity/debt investment?

  3. Where is it going to be exactly?

  4. According to the CG image they posted it will be located here in Rassau:

  5. That's not far from my favourite asda, surprised it would get permission so close to the national park due to noise.

  6. I repeat

  7. Point I was trying to make is that even if something is planned and announced to the world there is still a huge chance that nothing will happen. Many a slip betwixt cup and lip, and all that.

  8. What are the financial backers expecting to do with all the rain they catch mid fall as it tries every weekend to flood the place.

  9. Aye - but signs seem positive don't they? The planning regulations in this country are particularly ludicrous I know, but if there is an area of the country that needs this investment, and could home a circuit like this easily then Rassau is it. Fingers crossed!

    :upyeah:

  10. It'll get the Sheep vote. Anything that gives them a weekend off from 'recreational activities' is to be welcomed.

At the end of the straight you'll be able to hear Eeeeewwwwweeeeee, eeeeewwwwweeeee, eeeeeewwwwwweeeeee!

  11. look like a very smoothly meandering track..

well they will be certain o some very important customers : All possible tire manufactures wanting to test their winter/rains - tires :)
and racing team testing new airo wind deflecting gear...

noise? on top of those hills , it must be so windy, noise will just blow away ! :)

    looking good !

  12. That's not far from me either
It would generate much needed income in that area.
Beautiful in summer not so nice winter

Now I can see why the roads have been updated up to heads of the valley

    Roll on development :)

  13. Some belting roads and views down there. Fingers crossed it gets past all the B/S rules and gets the funding it needs.

  14. With Neil Kinnock speaking in favour of it, it can't fail.

  15. F*ck me, they'd better keep a good supply or Rain tyres close at hand!! I'm from down the road a bit and Wales just seems to be getting wetter and wetter and wetter. I cannot see Valentino et al rocking up at Abercwmspangle, MotoGP bikes in tow, in the p1ssing torrent that passes for a Welsh summer. Remember the biblical floods that caused Noah to build the Ark? 40 days and 40 nights of rain that was. STILL better than any summer I've ever had in Wales!! :)
