I have the attached fly lead that looks like it wants to receive an optimate? they are now on their 6th generation model so which one should i buy and why? it seems like there is a sig price difference between 4 and 6 i also have a ctek and its compatible with bikes but doesnt have the correct fly lead so is that an option too?
None of my Optimates have an inline fuse. I just assumed the unit monitors the battery and shuts down in the event of any issues.
Buy a Ctek lead and plug and solder the lead to the existing lead cw in-line fuse, if you feel you need it. If ctek don't supply it like that, they must feel it doesn't need one.
I can't remember if my fly leads have them or not. I have a Ctek lithium charger and a number of lead acid Optimates.
CTEK Comfort Connector With Charge Indicator M8 Eyelets 56-382 This has an in-line fuse and led indicators for the state of charge of charge as well!
None of my cteks or optimates have a fuse on the battery lead. Been using them for 10 years with no issues.
