So I've had my 748 for 2 months and love it .... searched for what I thought was a good one with low owners and some history ... bought one that had just been fully serviced inc belts etc etc Noticed that handling was a bit iffy and as I'm near to Neil and Cornerspeed popped in and the back end was 3/4 inches too low as the chain had been adjusted incorrectly ..... So .. nagging in the back of my mind was the question if that was wrong what about the rest of the "Full Service" .. which I have the receipt for at getting on for £350.00 ... Booked in the bike again for Neil to check over and service as required .... Two failed rockers ... Shims needed doing .... Belts had been incorrectly fitted / tensioned so were rubbing together .... Leaks on master cylinder Clutch seal / rubber bellow / o rings to pushrod / cover bearing Air filters hadn't been replaced for years .... And all the "normal" servicing stuff SO Rather large unexpected bill but it could have been so much worse ... I'm sure many of you on here wouldn't have been caught out but I tend to just have limited mechanical knowledge and just ride I can't praise Neil and Cornerspeed enough for sorting everything and explaining and showing me all the bits that were replaced and why Hopefully next years service will be a little cheaper
Sounds like a good preemptive result- question lurking is who did the full service prior...? Specialist Ducati dealer or a 'bike' shop?
