It is true that the words that I spoke were not the words that you heard me speak but the words you said to me at that time were yours not mine

Management seems to believe they work in space. They are always mentioning activities in: Customer relations space Productivity space Human resources space Management space Sales & Services space. Bunch of space cadets, if you ask me.
I once went on a Senior Management Course where we were encouraged to think outside the box. Unfortunately I thought so far outside the box that they threw me off the course, and there was a huge row about it. I was never made to go on a course like it again.
most of the courses i've been on they have actively tried to encourage people to stay away from the box......let alone inside................:biggrin:
At interview many years back i was once slipped a piece of paper....written on it I was asked to 'imagine life inside a ping pong ball', then immediately begin talking shit about it for 10 minutes....(this crap is easy for me, as you can imagine) i thought of saying to the management tit that slipped that little bit of paper into my hand, 'just imagine getting a life'... I was offered the job and told them to stick it up there arses... i thought i'd run it up the flagpole and see who saluted it.. Other management phrases i hate (Radio 4 is a goldmine of management speak bullshit quotes btw)... 1. Lets see if this baby can walk 2. Lets level the playing field 3. Well....ultimately 4. Modal shift 5. Singing from the same hymn sheet 6. Are we all 'on board'? 7. Simples.... Re: 'Simples' I really fkn hate it when everyone starts using a shit catchphrases like that...It says to me, 'Im funny and ive got a personality'....by proxy. No offence to anyone who dines out on any of the above...well actually, bollox..YOURE whats wrong with this fucking country..stand up, get your balls back in your sack, shoulders back and stick it to the man and be free instead of some withering pseudo intellectual corporate whore.
the government one that grips me is when they say......"lets be clear" or "let me be clear"............no actually i want you to lie, make it up twist the facts....
Personally I find great value in management speak. Love nothing more than a thought shower, walking a mile in someones shoes or making sure the solution is a real world one so blame me the country is up the shit river
