This is the first Ducati I have owned, and I am new to the eccentric hub. On my old bikes I always had to take care to ensure the wheel alignment was correct. Does this still apply on the eccentric hub? As far as I can see you undo the hub nuts and then adjust the chain tension. When done re-torque the hub nuts. Any advice would be appreciated. As an added bonus if this is the case I could get a tyre fitted loose and save some extra cash.
That's the beauty of a single-sided swing-arm, perfect chain alignment without trying! So the pros are obvious, but the big con is getting the wheel-nut off, which can be very difficult without the right equipment. you also need to take care that the eccentric hub centre is correctly positioned. If you loosen the chain too far it will eventually start to tighten again, but the wheel will be in the wrong position.
