That's the other issue, even slimline me would struggle in that gap. I need to clone myself. Or get more helpful mates.
I use a mirror to check the level whilst sat on the bike, holding it level. It's one of the Rolson ones with the telescopic handle. Quite cheap and useful for other things as well such as looking under the bike.
I've noticed my 2013 1199s is showing high oil levels with the sight glass full when the bike is bolt upright. My main concern is the oil smells of petrol too! Anyone have experience of this or advice etc. I'm gonna drop the oil tomorrow and replace with exactly 3.25ltrs so I know its on the low side as it should take 3.5-3.7lts. I'll then take a pic of the sight glass and monitor for changes over the next few weeks. Should I be worried about petrol in the oil???

If fuel is getting into someone's oil, contaminating it and raising the level in the sight glass, why does that make him or her a "fuckwit"?

In a technical assistance request thread, is the issue of awarding "fuckwit status" all that important? I think you are taking the idea of "you have to give to receive" a little too far. If you take my meaning.
