I own a 2007 1098s and have recently had an issue whereby when I twist the throttle, the bike seems to resist accelerating. There seems to be something stopping it from launching especially over 5000rpm. It does gradually accelerate but it splutters and doesn't like revving over 5000rpm. I've checked the breather pipes under the tank and they're OK. I put into Hacketts in Coventry and they changed a couple of relays but still no joy. Hacketts have said today it could need a new wiring loom! Has anyone any thoughts as to what I can do as I'm struggling. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated. Regards Gordon
Thanks Nelson. I'm not technically minded but do have a comprehensive manual so will check ASAP. Thanks
Typical symptoms of that fault, more common on Multistradas though. Good luck with the the robber baron!
