1200 DVT 2016 Dvt Multi Inital Thoughts Update

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Wayne58, Aug 27, 2016.

  1. Only 500 miles in as had a busy 2 weeks, but new Corse blinkers, smaller plate fitted, removed reflector and daft wheel splash guard, also removed panniers and foot pegs (In loft for touring only), fitted small dark screen, and sat nav on BikepenR SR1 mount, that's about it for now, but its getting there. Pogo stick suspension now sorted and set up for me, with throttle setting on max for all modes, its a bit wooly in default touring mode. No more observations thus far, but definitely think its a step on from previous model, but is it a big enough step if you have a 2014 ?? I loved my 2014, and so far, I love the DVT, but they are completely different bikes, all good though, a few pics attached of new bike, with above little mods.

  7. I'm off to fishing shop today, to get some line for that very thing, will use WD40 and nail polish remover to get glue crap off, been told that works. cheers

  8. Ha ha, I much prefer the bike, but yes, the Audi is mine, the Ford is my Son's (only home on weekends, clutters the drive and eats the entire contents of kitchen !!!)Had the Audi about 18 months following a 911 turbo, quite like it so far, makes a great noise, not quite got the mid range punch of 911T, but looks better (IMO), handles better, especially in wet, where 911 had me facing the wrong way several times, not so keen on Audi MPG but hey ho, kinda knew it when I bought it. All in all, not a bad motor thus far.

  10. Hi, I had Multi before, and put the crud catcher back on for winter only, as it looks crap, unless you know of another reason to have it on all the time ??

  11. ???? Good ? Bad ? Bit dated ? It is an old car so not really sure what to say ?

  12. Not sure if you're bothered, but on your AV the R8 plate is blanked - not so in pictures?

  14. Cheers Nige, may blast up your way next week if your about, am off now till 17th sept if you fancy a beer or several ??

  15. Blimey, you have an R8 and you would hardly haggle on the tail tidy!!! By the way dental floss works as well as fishing wire, as long as you give it a good blast with a hair dryer at the same time. Ps, any idea why there are 2 resistors with each Rizoma indicator when they don,t need any at all???

Thanks again for posting the tail tidy out so quick despite all that is going on.

    Jon.

  18. Nice one , fit ok ? Happy with it ??

  19. Quality bit of kit, looks great. Indicator prices are weird, labels on the boxes say £7 different! They are classy though, just need to decide if to change the belly pan from black to red and she is done.
