  1. Hi folks
I have a 1998 748 bp was filling with fuel when i noticed what looks like a black
blader inside the fuel tank, first ducati so don't know if this is normal for this model
    any ideas would be welcome.thankyou

  2. There is no bladder, but there's a fuel pump, filter and black rubber piping
Do a Google image search for "ducati 748 fuel tank diagram" and you can peruse what's in there:smirk:

  3. So it looks as though whole tank has a lining then? I can't comment on every single derivation of 748 fitted with a steel tank, but never seen or heard of it before. If it has been lined as an aftermarket measure, then it could be it was leaking or corroded in some area.

  4. can see fuel pump etc in the tank but this seems to be at the front of the tank
and is connected at filler rim. thanks for info

  5. it doesn't look like a lining because it moves about as if it just floats in the fuel it is connected to the tank as i tried to pull it out but it is fixed to something

  6. Could it be a carbon-tank with a rubber liner?? Post an image if possible..

  7. It's okay, it's perfectly standard, it's the overflow drain that passes right through from top to bottom. Having said that, it needs to be in good condition and securely connected at both ends, don't go tugging it! .

  8. no worries i'll leave as is thanks
