Yes, I saw that on eBay. It is not the same. 28611171A was only used on 2008 1098R. It's a different program software that cuts the ignition spark, releasing unburnt fuel into the exhaust system, compromising the exhaust catalyst. It could only be used with the non-catalyst race exhaust system installed. The 2009 system, DTC unit 28611171C, controls wheel-spin with a combination of ignition mapping and injection mapping with multi-channel inputs from front wheel speed, rear wheel speed, gear selected, throttle opening and lean angle. This system was used on the 2009 1098R Bayliss, 1198 S and 2010 Streetfighter S. Here's a real good Ducati publication from 2009 that explains the DTC logic.
