Oh my comment is with envy, please fire off some R8 shots if you feel like sharing. It's one thing seeing them off a site like 'honest john' too an actual owner.
One of the blinkers failed as bullet connections were not well enough water proofed, so when I replaced it, the price had changed. hence, use a good heat shrink round them, cheers Jon.
I like that. A pal took me out in a Gallardo and then an R8. I have to say the R8 was by far the nicer drive. Lovely.
Again, thanks for the kind words, I tried a Gallardo and an F430 beforehand, and my impression was that you were buying the badge to buy the other two, and as the Audi is my daily driver, I preferred it. Only IMO you understand, dont want to upset the lambo and fezza drivers on here.
Hi Wayne, just wondering where and how you ordered the SR-1 gps mount? Just been on the Bike penR website and can't find any ordering process, motoGPS was a Aussie link but the price went through the roof! Cheers for now...
Got mine on eBay from one of the boys on here, but if your above 5,10" then you'll struggle to see dash, so I cut it down to fit lower 2 bolts on headstock, can see everything and the bikepen is beautifully made, Good luck.
PS - Ducati's own one is now available and looks similar to the BikePenR in the way it fits, not sure on cost though ??
Thanks for the advice. Don't like the navihalter. Lookin at the pics on their website, looks like it may obscure the clocks, have you turned it round 180 to bring it away from the dash?
No mate, shortened the stems that go in to the block. Measure between the 2 top bolts on handlebar clamp, and measure between the 2 bottom bar bolts, minus bottom from top, divide by 2, and hacksaw off this amount. From memory, was a little over 2cms a side, this then fits between lower bolts, thus, not obscuring any part of dash.
It depends how tall you are, but standard fit two top bolts may suit you, I found it obscured the bottom three warning lights on dash. The bikepenR unit is a quality product though, but like I said try ducati too, I know they do one as I ordered it but the lead time for delivery was quite long as it was August and Italy was closed.
