The most ground-breaking and funny comedy shows that stand out in their eras have been: Not Only But Also (Pete and Dud) Monty Python The Office The Fast Show. Python as been a little done to death but can still raise a laugh. The others are still seminal.
funky, i'm waiting to hear what comedy you do like as somebody, somewhere is bound to shoot you down in flames and glid - 'The Office' did nothing for me on the whole and 'The Fast Show' although good at times was so much drivel for the most part for me and massively overrated. As I said, it's each to their own..
I didn`t realise it had been going that long. The first series was ok, with Sid`s cafe I think, but after that it did go down hill faster than an old scruffy guy in a bath tub on wheels. Seeing as we are drifting a bit off topic, what about Open All Hours? Ronnie Barker and David Jason, comedy giants for me. To this day, I still find Nurse Gladys Emmanuel strangely alluring.
Sorry was good, as was Porridge. 'Orrible was good too Some Girls on BBC3 seems good but ive only seen one episode
