hello all. I have a 1199 panigale. I can get my hands on an sc project slip on silencer (if you can call it that) Would I damage the bike if I just put it on. I appreciate it might not be running tip top with out being mapped, but would it run like a dog. interested in your comments. Cheers James
A number of owners have fitted slip on end cans and relied on the O2 sensors to maintain the mixture without harm. I ran my Multistrada 1200 on decat pipework without issue but had a remap anyway. Andy
The lambda sensors don't adjust the fuelling all the time. The ECU only uses closed loop to make adjustments in the lower range of RPM. The narrow band O2 sensors aren't that accurate when it comes to adjusting fuelling as well. For tuning you really need to disable the Lambdas and remap to suit the exhausts.
