916 Ducati 916 - Help Please - Cert Of Conformity

  1. Hi Everyone,

After all the kind help and advice from everyone on this Forum over the past few weeks I have done the deed and bought a 916 BP from the Netherlands. I am ready to register it but the bike did not come with the standard European Certificate of Conformity. The DVLA website indicates that this is not bike specific (no VIN details or anything like that) it merely gives all of the standard information from which they will register the bike. Could anyone please scan and email me a copy of their's so I can submit it with all of the paprerwork to register the bike.

    Many thanks,

    Bob.

  2. I imported a Moto Guzzi from Italy last year. The V55 form they send has loads of sections, many of which are not appropriate so I called DVLA. They told me to fill in only the relevant parts (but to put RHD in the driving side?) and that a COC was not necessary on a bike over 10 years old.
I sent off the relevant documents and fee (tax + registration) along with the original Italian reg. document (for proof of age) and got a V5 back within a week.

  3. Hi,

Thanks very much for the info. I think I read your posts on the Guzzi site when I Googled CoC and this really helped.

    All the best.

    Bob.
