Brake Bleeding

  1. Bleeding the brakes on an 1199 after changing the MC.

    I know you have to bleed the MC but how many reservoirs do you need to put through each calliper before you start to get results?

  3. If the fluid is quite old then you will notice a colour change when you start getting new fluid through
     
  4. On my 1098 from an empty system I'll probably go through around 4 or 5 before I start to get the lever firming up.

    That's just from memory and I don't pay a lot of attention to it, I'm usually looking for when the bubbles stop. When doing something major on the braking system I push the pads back in the calipers and try to empty the whole system, then completely fill with a fresh charge
