749 Hot Number Plate Light Bulb

  1. I have a push in T10/w5w/501 ultra bright white led, forward facing, wedge bulb in the parking light nipple of my 999. It's been there for some time now and never given any problems at all. I'm not sure if it's the racket from the straight through exhaust or the blinding led but I find drivers do move over pretty readily when filtering.
My nipple is a fairly loose fit in the screen, so it's dead easy to get out from the front if I want to change the bulb. The manual says to remove it from the rear but with my bike that's not necessary.

  2. Curiosity got the better of me one again @Old rider so I thought I'd give these to try from eBay. Cheap as chips and turned up within two days. Dead easy to fit and had them in for a day now and so far no flickering unlike the previous ones. Fairly bright too but the photo doesn't really show this.

  3. Looks good,@Mongoose, much brighter than standard
I think the ad shows a different fitting than on my bike though. Iirc, it's w5w/510 for mine, which are push in wedge bulbs
