I founf this in another forum: practical technical upgrades: for 2017 the Multistrada 1200 family features a new airbox in the intake zone and new engine calibration; these changes give the twin-cylinder Testastretta DVT even fuller, more satisfying mid-range power delivery Ducati Press Ducati to reveal new SuperSport at INTERMOT - Ducatiforum.at - Ducati Forum Austria -faxxe
My 2016 has hill start. I wonder if the new motor calibration will be retro applied to 2016 bikes ? If you decat the DVT, does it need mapping etc ??
No maps available as yet, unless you go for the factory termi pipe & update Spoke to Wilf at Moto Rapido, he advised that yes of course if you decat then a map will bring out the best from the decat, but not at all a 'must do' I bloody love mine, I've owned many bikes on a par & beyond power wise, but I just can not fault my multi at all
I notice the prices of the bikes have gone up slightly today for current models, probably to pay for the technical updates etc or just profiteering! MTS 12 in red was £15725 now £15895
Whenever the £ Sterling drops against other currencies, prices of imported goods and services inevitably go up. It has dropped a good deal since June, and obviously has a lot further to fall.
Hi Pete, Probably a fair assessment but you would have thought Ducati UK would have put something on its website to point the price rise out. Prices haven't risen during the previous falls in £ to Euro and I doubt they will reduce if and when the rate changes for the better.
Ducati put up there prices every year, I think it's just there annual price increase , if the prices were frozen for a year you would soon hear about it,the my17 bikes are due out now.
it's hard to know what the value of the bike is. In Canada it's about $21k out the door. Converting at today's rate you guys are paying about $6k more for a multi
I bought mine 3 weeks ago. I asked the salesman at the time how the exchange rate was affecting things. He told me then that Ducati were putting up the prices at the start of October - they had already had the notification from Ducati at that point. Given the significant fall in the value of Sterling since the Brexit vote its not exactly a surprise, even if you ignore any effect for inflation.
Cheers, I was about to buy a Multi last Saturday and went to the dealer but now have a tax bill :fearscream: to pay so bang goes my deposit and the dealer didn't say anything about a price rise, ah well never mind.
