Took Mrs Roadtrip to the Ducati Essex meet today on the 748, Ive seen some Goggle photos of grab rails for them but not who makes them as i assume Ducati never made them and will be aftermarket, anyone point me in the right direction who makes them.
Only ones I recall are the standard strap on the biposto seat pad, but there is one shaped like a mini handlebar that bolts to the top of the fuel filler bolt ring, any good?
Have look at Ventura sports rack, got one on my 748 and its a good solid grabrail, quick and easy to fit also gives easy add on for the best luggage system on the market.
Another vote for ventura grab rail. Comes as a 4 piece unit. The first bit is a fiddly/ time consuming to fit to the sub frame. Two further rails attach each side on the pillion footrest bolts. A handle then joins the 2 rails and can be removed to lift the seat. The 2 rails and handle can be removed or replaced relatively quickly, 15 mins, to retain the monoposto look when desired. It's dear but we'll made.
Thanks just looked on there site a rack with grab handle seems to be around £125 :Wideyed: not cheap, not fussed about the luggage rack add ons, are they the only makers about?
I've got a Ventura with the grab rail setup ... as new was only on the 748 a few weeks ... message me if interested
Try a pair of "Love Handles", my wife used them when on the back of my 748, she loved them. RYDE MOTORCYCLE/MOTORBIKE PILLION PASSENGER LOVE HANDLES/GRIPS FOR HOLDING ON | eBay
