Hi all, I have a 1098 S streetfighter, I was stripping it down today for some winter maintenance/ love and discovered the wire to the front cylinder lambda sensor is cut as shown in the picture. I can't believe I'm going to ask this but is that correct? It does run the race chip and exhaust etc. but I still can't believe this is correct. For the record it runs well and has no warning lights. If you have the race ECU, it should have been supplied with a blanking plug for the lambda probe that should have been removed. I have my brand new one in a box from when I did just this very thing with my Termi kit. That looks like a bodge job and a half. :Nailbiting:
Well that would be about right for this poor thing. It's been poorly treated in the past and I'm doing my best to bring it back. Do you have any advice as to where the blanking plates can be bought from. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
It's a plug, nothing more than a short bolt really. It came with my termi kit, I doubt that it available as a stand alone part.

I have a check engine error on my Hypermotard 821. They say it's the lambda sensor. Ducati guys advised me to up map my ecu and everything will be fine. But I insist on claiming warranty. What do you guys think? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Id say that looks like its been stored at the bottom of a canal. But, im probably its only taken about 6 months of being outside to get like that such is ducati's shoddy coatings and fixings policy....is this going to be come a build thread??
PDQ is a good place for bits like lambda plugs. Your one stop performance shop. They probably supply some nice new anodised hoses too...
If youre looking for lambda plugs ive got a couple of spare ones from my hypermotard (1100evo sp) as ive got a full sc project system that doesnt use them. Got a spare pressure plate too (Ducati performance spider plate).

Paypal works for me. The pressure plate is more of a bling thing - you run and open clutch, you get a posh pressure plate...its what you do...some people prefer to run a closed clutch, some people run them open. Heres the plate... PM me if your interested in either. Cheers.
