Hi All. After riding through torrential rain on the way back from BSB at Brands my neutral light went awol. Now the gear position indicator lies about which gear i am in. Not a major problem, but a pita as i cannot let the bike idle with the side stand down as the gear selector brain will not acknowledge the existence of neutral. I imagined the wiring might have corroded in the downpours, so what do i clean up? Many thanks in advance as usuual
Apart from the sensor itself, which should be waterproof, there is a small 4-pin connector to loom tucked in among various others ahead of the battery.
It's a manual that I downloaded a few years ago. Here is a picture of the connector on my bike (it looks horribly grimey). It is tucked in front of the battery near to the negative terminal.
Many thanks , although I cannot imagine that area was affected by water ingress? I will give it a clean and see what happens.
